All classes: Sub Plans for Thursday

TV 1: Please spend the hour taking down your two pages of notes from the chapter of Video Basics titled “The Production Team: Who Does What When?”, Chapter 2. Your short quiz will be Friday, and your notes will be submitted beforehand. The rest of the talk shows will take place afterwards.

R&W: Taking into consideration the Notice/Focus work we began with the Bahamas ad from yesterday, today, you will research Jamaica Kincaid, an Antiguan-American author, and her mostly non-fiction (some is slightly fictionalized, however) and part auto-biographical book, A Small Place before reading and annotating the first chapter in class (to be finished for homework if not completed in class) and writing a 2-sentence summary of HER ARGUMENT. This should have nothing to do with whether or not you agree or disagree with the chapter, but rather an objective summary of Kincaid’s argument, and what she is working to accomplish. Email this to me by 7:20 a.m. on FRIDAY and make sure your hour is in the subject line. We will discuss/debrief Friday and work to put Kincaid/the Bahamas ad into conversation.

TV II: The sub can sign off on any marking period project proposals necessary. Make sure she keeps them on my desk for me to take a look on Friday. Friday’s announcement team should also get to work on the script.

Lions’ Roar: Spend the rest of the hour tidying up your articles before submitting them to AL/JP before the end of the hour.
