R&W: SSR and Intro to Notetaking

We first read for about ~20 minutes in our SSR books before I assigned this SSR project (and associated rubric) due next Tuesday by midnight to turnitin.com, with a hard copy in class on Wednesday to present in small groups.

Afterwards, we started going through this PowerPoint regarding note taking strategies in preparation for our MLA research paper unit starting next week. Third hour journaled through about slide 10 and fourth hour got through slide 7–we will practice Cornell notes tomorrow following our discussion leaders. Here’s a calendar through the end of the semester.

Homework: Part 1 of chapter 6 of Blink (through approx. pg. 214)
