R&W: Discussion Leader Assignment

We spent most of the hour going through the discussion leader/socratic seminar informational handout (last Thursday’s post) and this instructional PowerPoint. We also discussed the reading quizzes (annotations for the rest of the chapters will be optional but can be used on the reading quizzes if completed in your notebook). Please have that signed quiz agreement for Wednesday. Also, here are some sample types of good and bad questions along with a sample handout for discussion leaders.

Afterwards, you got started working on finding quotes/evidence of significance on this evidence/interpretation chart from the introduction. These quotes could be taken from some of your annotations (which I stamped in today as well). You will do the same on the back tomorrow for Ch. 1 in class.

Vocab #6 Words (quiz Friday plus 10 words from any of the last five rounds of vocab):
