JRN: Feature Stories, cont

We first spent some time IDing the required figurative language and quotes on our final draft before submitting it with the previous edited drafts and interview notes. Afterwards, we reflected on the back of our final draft regarding what was difficult, enjoyable, and meaningful/important about this type of writing as a journalist. We submitted that packet to the inbox.

We then took notes on the attached PowerPoint regarding feature writing which will be checked in tomorrow. Not everything needs to be written down–just the most important pieces.

Homework: Look to an online news source for a sample, professional feature story. Bring in a hard copy tomorrow to work with. Sample news outlets: USAToday, DetroitNews, ABC News, etc.
