English 10: “Harlem” and Act III of Raisin

I returned a bunch of stuff to you today: Catcher projects and rubrics, Raisin impromptus, Catcher “If you really want to hear about it…” writing pieces, and these directions for turning your impromptu into a speech. The typed, updated version of your impromptu essay is due Friday.

We first finished annotating and discussing Langston Hughes’ “Harlem” before reading Act III. We got to Walter’s line “I ain’t just talkig ’bout it, baby–I’m telling you that’s what’s going to happen!”. We will finish the play first thing tomorrow.
