We spent the first part of the hour discussing and sharing moments of importance from DuBois’ “Strivings of the Negro People.” These were some of the significant quotes/ideas/questions derived from those conversations. We then discussed as a class. After this, we began watching Bryan Stevenson’s 2012 TEDtalk on injustice in the justice system and the concept of identity.
