English 10: Ch. 11-13 of Catcher

We first dealt with a bell work answering these questions: Why do kids try to grow up so quickly? What’s the rush?

I checked in your Ch. 11-13 annotations while you were working.

After, we took our Ch. 7-13 quiz prior to working on this worksheet contending with “Defense Mechanisms.” You are to find and record at least 5 in your notebook. We will continue with it tomorrow.

Homework: “Death of a Sibling”/Allie’s death’s effects on Holden 400-word response. An electronic copy is due by 7:40 a.m. to turnitin.com and a hard copy needs to be brought to class. Follow all requirements closely. Helpful Handouts, again: What Good Analysis Looks Like, Transitional Words/Phrases, Sample Responses from Tuesday, and the assignment description.

Ch. 14-16 is to be read for Monday + annotations.
