Honors 11: Emerson and Thoreau

From your reading of “Nature” last night, regarding the first and fourth chapters of his essay, you were to identify in small groups 10 transcendentalist ideas/claims based on your current knowledge of this philosophical movement.

After, you were to transition into Thoreau’s poetry and annotate/analyze the three poems given to you regarding Thoreau’s message, tone, subject, take away, transcendental ideas, etc.

I am checking in both tomorrow prior to our “World’s Worst Gift Exchange.” Bring games and food along with your wrapped “gift.”
