English 10: SSR and Appositives

We started the day by discussing your impromptu from yesterday. I returned your concept map rubrics as well, graded individually. We read for the first half hour in our SSR books. Please make sure you are letting me know anytime you finish a book for our records/competition.

I then gave back to you, with feedback/comments, the hard copy of your impromptu. You are to use my comments, the peer editing sheet and this general essay helpful tips to inform the changes/edits you will make to polish your essay before submitting it to turnitin.com on Sunday.  Attached is also a general essay guide in order to make sure you have the basics down. Please use the resources posted today and in yesterday’s post to make sure you are structuring your paragraphs and using quotes/evidence correctly.

We then worked on this grammar worksheet concerning the appositive phrase that we will go over tomorrow.
