English 10: Summer Reading Impromptu

Today, we are going up to the LMC to take our summer reading impromptu. When I call time, you will upload the essay to turnitin.com. The turnitin.com instructions are linked again here. Also, here’s the general essay guide again from yesterday that outlines all of the requirements for each paragraph. The rubric with which I will be grading your essay is also attached.

Once I call time, you will save and upload your essay. You will then bring to me your summer reading book information packet (it’s four pages) you’ve worked on the last few days. You were welcome to use it on the essay. Finally, you will grab the “What’s in a Name?” assignment  for homework to kick off our next unit along with a piece of construction paper.

We will go to the LMC next week again to look for a silent reading book you will enjoy. 🙂
