Honors 11: Barber and Kincaid

We spent the first portion of the hour delving into the chapter of A Small Place by Kincaid we read over the weekend. We talked about tourism and whether or not it is problematic entity or a controversial issue. We tried to put the advertisement and the chapter into conversation. What conversation would they have with one another?

We then transitioned into a discussion of  Barber and the construction of his argument. I asked you then, for homework, after I stamped in your annotated article, to complete A-D on this Critical Relationships assignment, using the source you found this weekend for your synthesis essay for letter C. You are welcome to paraphrase quotes as long as the source used is referenced in a signal phrase or constructed as a parenthetical.

We will begin watching a documentary titled Life and Debt tomorrow after discussing your homework.
