English 10: The Catcher in the Rye Ch. 1-3

We began reading The Catcher in the Rye (the pdf is linked here) in class today while taking annotations in our notebooks.

You will need to complete 5-10 annotations per chapter (there are 26 chapters total). Annotations should notice major plot events, changes in setting, characters and corresponding characterization, recurring symbols/themes and how they’re depicted, observations of Holden, and general moments of significance (feel free to include page #s and quotes, if deemed necessary).

Homework: Ch. 1-3 (pgs. 1-26) for Monday + annotations (5-10 per chapter)
