English 10: Julius Caesar Introduction

We began the day by recapping what would appear on your background quiz on Thursday (Wednesday for 6th hour). We took detailed notes today on Julius Caesar. Here’s a brief recap and here’s a copy of the detailed notes we took in class (sorry about the handwriting in advance!). We also took notes on a Shakespeare plot diagram (also attached to your Shakespeare handout from yesterday) and the elements of a drama/play.

We then read silently out of our textbooks pgs. 762-768 concerning Shakespeare and the Elizabethan theatre/his stage and wrote down 5 things in our notebooks that we did not get from yesterday’s notes. We then also read silently pgs. 769-770 on Caesar and wrote down 3-5 things we did not get in our background notes from earlier in the hour. Third hour will do silent reading tomorrow. Sixth hour will get started reading The Tragedy of Julius Caesar. I stamped all of your notes in for points.
