English 10: SSR and Commas! We love commas!

Today, we read for the first 40 minutes of class–we’re upping the ante! Afterwards, I assigned this letter to your SSR author–the final draft is not due till Dec. 17 (rough is due Dec. 3). Here are some sample letters and more specifically, samples for BHS.

We then started working with commas. I asked you to read through this handout and then write three sample sentences, and under each, the rule that applies to the correctly placed comma.

Here are my notes for The Crucible webquest. Remember, these are my notes, so they won’t be the easiest to follow, but they’re detailed. You have a quiz on the basics of the webquest tomorrow after we finish the comma work from today.

Your essay on Animal Farm is due to turnitin.com by tomorrow morning at 7:40.
