Honors 11: Keats Response and Ch. 2-3 of Gatsby

After I passed back your Grapes impromptus with my comment key and general feedback (as well as a new, updated Gatsby calendar), we completed a 15-minute impromptu response to “Ode to a Nightingale” in which we needed to create a claim and utilize embedded evidence in our analysis.

Afterwards we discussed Ch. 2-3 of Gatsby (finish Ch. 3 Qs over the weekend) and before you left, I assigned T.S. Eliot’s “The Wasteland,” more specifically, an excerpt from Part III, “The Fire Sermon.” Read over the weekend and make connections to Gatsby.

Also, here’s the Definition Essay assignment. We’ll talk Monday.
