Honors 11: The Stranger and E.C. Opportunity

Read or watch for Tuesday The Stranger by Albert Camus. Apply what you know so far about Existentialism as you read or watch. Think about: What is existential about Mersault’s predicament? Use your “Key Figures/Terms” handout for reference.

Just as a head’s up, I will also be assigning this reading titled “Existentialism and Human Freedom” by John Killinger on Monday for Tuesday.

I will assign the take-home exam due Feb. 24th on Tuesday.

I’m giving you all of this ahead of time, so your brains don’t explode on Monday/Tuesday.

EXTRA CREDIT: Read and annotate for Tuesday “Camus’ Stranger Retired” and present your opinions, briefly, to the class.

Optional reading: The Stranger and the Critics

Come ready to bubble like the wind on Monday!
