English 10: Julius Caesar Act I Scene II

After going through Cassius’ soliloquy that should have been completed for homework, we completed a bell work that used the following topic sentence as the beginning of a paragraph that utilized embedded/glancing quotes from the soliloquy to prove the claim:

In Act I.2, in his soliloquy, Cassius shows readers his strategic planning and manipulative ways to get Brutus on his side and Caesar out of power. 

Your homework is to complete one of these passages from Act I Scene iii using the same concept from bell work: one paragraph that makes a claim about the paragraph and proves it using embedded evidence.

We finished Act I. After we review and go through characters tomorrow (plus identifying lit term examples), we will take a quiz on Act I. Cassius’ soliloquy and 1 of the passages analyzed on the back will be turned in with your quiz tomorrow before we begin Act II.

REMEMBER: Background quiz corrections are due Monday! Attach answers on a separate sheet of paper.
